The first event that took place in November 2016 had 1,500 people in attendance and out of the 60 contestants was a mixture of males and females. The winner was Malte Jorgensen, an exchange student from The University of the West Indies (UWI). The second event took place on May 20th 2017 and saw an even bigger crowd attendance (3000) as well as more finishers from each of the age groups. The winners were Lee Knight from the 18+ category, and Malachi Mayers competed in the 13-17 age group.
Barbados Ninja Throwdown is a local sports entertainment competition that features some obstacles that are seen on the show, “American Ninja Warrior”, with a local twist to them. It encompasses individuals from different disciplines to complete the course in the fastest time possible.
